Here’s some feedback about the theme from Blackhatworld.
Some days ago i bought the ctrtheme, because i was using clickbump and i had a ctr of 0-3%.The ctr was really ridiculously low. I tried the theme on one of the most sucky sites, because i did not want to mess up my rankings in serp with changing the theme. The theme is really easy to configure has around 4 or 6 built in templates (similar to clickbump).Well, i added all ads possible to the theme and they were rotating at the click hot spots, so it looked really good. Furthermore, only 3 ads will be displayed at once so you will not get a ban by google.Due to the fact, that the site did not rank, i pushed traffic to it with tweet attacks over night. Next day i checked my adsense and i had 7 clicks of around 120 impressions. I wanted to go low with twitter traffic, thats why i did not send more. The ctr was about 5 or 6 percent and then i changed another site from clickbump to ctrtheme.And guess what, nearly 30% increase of clicks.
The rotating works really well, the only bad point is that the listing feature in wordpress posts is kinda bugged, i hope they will fix that in the future version, because doing it manually is a little bit pain.I can really suggest you that theme if you are not satisfied with clickbump and if you want to get more out of your sites.The rotating does work with CPA banners too, just found that out today.Btw. i found the theme through their ads here on bhw, i think it is kinda underdog and unkownIn my eyes, the rotating is not the only factor which increases the ctr.
I think the templates are encouraging the reader to actually read the text, because the colours are very soft. That was one more factor for me to buy it, because im always dropping cpa offer links in the text and im pushing the reader to click it.I really like the link unit placed in the top of the theme, because most users click on it thinking that these links are linking to inner pages of the website. Thats kinda sneaky but it works really good.The rotating does attract the users attention, it is useful to have a good inner linking structur and good content so the reader is browsing your site more, which means more rotations and more attention on the ads.
